We are looking for an Engineer, Mechanics to join our Service Products Delivery team in Tampere.  
   
As an Engineer, Mechanics you will contribute to our Service Products deliveries and design according to our customers’ needs and Fastems’ long-term experience. This position will allow you to participate in a wide range of different Service deliveries to keep our installed base functioning.

As part of the Service Products Delivery team, you will work collaborating on diverse Service Product deliveries and supporting our local Service organizations and customers all around the world. Service Products are critical end-of-life components that will be upgraded to the latest technology, and the risk of an unexpected breakdown will be minimized. Service Products delivery team is also responsible for delivering different kinds of smaller system modifications and – changes.

The team consists of approx. 14 skilled professionals: delivery managers, electrical engineers and software developers, and together, as a team, we make sure that our customers worldwide are fully supported. We are working tightly as a team and help and support for the mechanical engineer is also available within our company from highly skilled colleagues from different teams.

As an expert in your field, your work contains designing Fastems’ products and systems modifications in customer deliveries so that the results of the deliveries meet the specifications, standards of quality, budget, and schedule. This includes thinking of possible new design solutions, creating models, manufacturing drawings, and schematics. A large part of the work contains supporting global Service functions relating to mechanical solutions and designs and participating in the Service Product development.

We expect you to have:

• MSc or BSc in mechanical engineering

• A few years of experience in design work

• Up to date knowledge of manufacturing technologies

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Experience of mechanical engineering tools (SolidWorks)

• Basics of strength calculations (with e.g. SolidWorks Simulation)

• Fluent skills in English and Finnish, both written and oral

• Experience of other technical calculations
