We are looking for a PLC Engineer Trainee.

As a Summer Trainee in PLC design team, you will work alongside experienced automation engineers to support the development, programming, and testing of control systems for Fastems’ automation solutions. This role offers hands‑on experience with modern industrial automation technologies and real customer projects.

Your tasks may include:

  • PLC programming and configuration for customer projects

  • Participating in system testing, debugging, and commissioning

  • Collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and software teams

  • Updating technical documentation and system specifications

Job requirements

We are looking for a student who is eager to learn and motivated to develop their automation engineering skills.

Ideally, you have:

  • Ongoing studies in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • Familiarity with Beckhoff PLC hardware and TwinCAT software.

  • Experience in IEC 61131-3 programming languages (mainly structured text) and other programming languages seen as a benefit (e.g. C#, SQL)

  • Familiarity with wiring diagrams, and control cabinet documentation

  • Interest in industrial automation, robotics, and manufacturing systems

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take responsibility

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team

  • Fluent communication skills in English
